Cool story: I have taught primary classes, been the primary music director and I've played the piano for primary! Primary is mah thing!
When I first moved into my new ward in September 2013, I REALLY wanted to be an Activity Days leader! I didn't say anything about it.
I got called to be a primary teacher for the 10 year olds. Close enough, right? I was so happy to do it (of course) and I love my class.
Well....I get called to the bishop's office not long after that, and guess what?! :D
They gave me a SECOND calling......DUN DUN DUN.......can ya guess what it was?
I was pretty exited! I LOVED activity days when I was a kid, and I always had the best teachers growing up.
SO! Now it's my turn, and I'm loving it.
This coming Sunday is Easter, so obviously I did a lesson on Easter :D
I went to the website (http://ldsactivitydayideas.blogspot.com/2012/04/easter.html) and saw this CUTE idea! I didn't print out the free cards because my printer isn't working, so I made my own version of it and got them printed at the Walmart Photo Center (:
Good enough for me!

Then I went searching for ideas for a lesson. Found a GREAT activity for the girls.
I started off by showing the following pictures and reading the part of the story that went with them, so they could get the story fresh in their minds:
After I told the story I got out the eggs I'd prepared!
Number the eggs 1-12 and gather up the items you'll need for this activity!

1. A Sacrament cup (I didn't have one, but you can get one from church!)
2. 3 dimes
3. A piece of rope or twine
4. A chunk of soap
5. A piece of red fabric
6. A cross made out of any wood and a small nail
7. Dice (I didn't have any...I'm weird! lol)
8. A sponge (and a stick if ya want!)
9. Rocks
10. One round stone
11. A baggie of spices (I mixed garam masala, nutmeg and ginger...YUM!)
12. Nothing!
Then you'll need the scriptures that match the items!
I wrote the scriptures on slips of paper and mixed them up. Then I divided the girls into two teams, and gave each team six slips of paper with the scriptures on them.
I opened and laid out the eggs so they could find the scripture, read, discuss and decide which egg it matches! After we matched everything up (some of them were really tricky!!) I went through the pictures from the beginning of the lesson and had one girl at a time tell part of the story depending on which picture I was holding. The girls had a lot of fun, and we learned a lot!
Definitely glad I stumbled across this activity!
